Hats off to Peter Drucker who Passes at 95

In 1982, when it was time to go to college, I had a dilemma. Would I take management, or computer science?
I ended up with a degree of both, and have found the journey to be both fulfilling as I try to balance both of these passions by managing technology corporations.
For the last ten years, my passion have also shifted to something more — the management of family and life. Thus this blog has been a great mouthpiece as I , like many of you, journey through my life looking for fulfillment and my space in the sun.
I have always look at one of my more enduring job as the management of technology, or the technology of management, whichever emphasis you wanted to put.
One of the most profound thinkers I have had the opportunity to read ( ever since college) have been Peter Drucker. As he moved on at 95, I would like to take my hat off him, and only hope that I can be as a fraction as good as he is in sharing management precepts. I believe that the enduring principles of business, when applied to life bring prosperity, and also happiness.
To see something everybody sees, yet notice or observed something that nobody did — that is the hallmark of the intellectual leader. To see uncommon things in common things. That has been the hallmark and significance of Peter Drucker. I am sure his legacy will endure.

What??? This is the first I heard about his death. This is indeed a big loss for the management and academic communities. His legacy will live on. May he rest in peace.

Yes, Peter Drucker wrote very good books that influence leadership & management theories. I read of “The Effective Executive” during my masteral studies, and found it to be very insightful..

I have not read his books. But the quote is very good. I am presently reading another book but will make the one mentioned my next read. I too wish him peace.

Yes, it’s very sad to see him go. I’m very fortunate to be involoved in a business that he has predicted to be “the next mega trend” He was one of the main reasons I decided to move forward with this buiness. Was hoping to meet him at one of our conventions.
