Good Luck Bad Luck; What’s the Difference?

good luck bad luckI once heard this story from my father about 25 years ago, when I was still in high school. I had come home almost crying, and this is an old chinese tale:

A farmer, who was considered a sage in the locality, had a prized horse which was the envy of the town. One day, the horse vaulted the gate and disappeard, and neighbors were lamenting him about his misfortune. He nonchalantly said, “well, good luck, bad luck, that’s life!”.
