when Good Enough is not Good Enough

The other day, I was upset with some of the staff working with me on a project who seemed to have taken the attitude that if you assign them 5 tasks to do, and if they can do a good enough job on three or four of them, they are free to ignore or forget the other one which to them might be unpleasant, or in their own estimation, not so important.
In today’s world, you can choose to be one or the other — do as everybody does ( the same response time and quality), and compete in lowering your price because you have become a commodity, or do it better than anybody else, and charge a premium. In today’s world, people might increasingly try to squeeze prices on everything else, but one thing is sure — they are also more willing to pay a premium for a job exceptionally done, or that cannoot be done by anybody else.
