Here’s a writeup of Bill Gates which encapsulates what I want to accomplish myself in three areas– At the ripe old age of 50, he’s already a living cultural icon who simultaneously is the world’s preeminent computer geek (become a learned scholar) , its richest businessman (a very successful businessman) , and its most ambitious philanthropist ( a good father and husband).

I do hope I can accomplish the same personal thrusts and goals in a worthy way, although I am sure not in such a big way. I am sure he will accomplish to goals of giving and spending the money away meaningfully — which is as hard as earning it. To spend your first half of the life earning great money, and to spend the next half making what you earned accomplish meaningful things - that would be the life I covet.
