One of the most popular topics for bloggers ( and webmasters) is how to design a site so that it will come out of the top rankings when people do a search. Considering hundreds of millions of people do search everyday looking for something which you may have, these have become an obsession for many people - it is equivalent to having a big advertising billboard in a major highway.
Matt Cutt, a Google employee has a great blog on explaining to you this topic which is now called SEO - Search Engine Optimization. He is even doing some videos to show it.

I talked to many of those that says they read my blog, and they still don’t quite understand how to RSS My feed, and requests that I email them the articles. This is a little bit difficult to do , but I decided to do a newsletter, which I may send once or twice a month basically informing about some of the great sites, and articles that you may be interested.

I was able to more than triple my posts the last few weeks based on a simple concept — if you could write down your thoughts and post it as it occurs, it means you will never lose that idea. Something we put on our mind to write down later will probably be forgotten or not see the light of day. So I start to make it really easy for me to write down small thoughts - instead of waiting for that perfect time to composed it nicely. So I can compose my blog on my PDA through a thumb keyboard and mail it out.
My friend, Max Limpag utilizes a website to work out his thoughts.
I have been writing a lot of these in the last few weeks on how I am increasing my writing and my productivity:
- Email as an organizing tool
-Being Productive
- The Not to Do and Not to Know List
- Importance of Execution
- Posting through Email

I know a lot of business friends whose children are now studying the Chinese language. In the July 3 issue of Time, it was reported that of 263 graduates of Britain’s elite Eton school, 110 are now studying Chinese. That is in the birthplace of English, and I guess that shows collectively what everybody believes is an essential language skill to make the most of business opportunities in the 21st century. I read and write chinese, and have, with the help of my cousin, translated some articles of Bizdrivenlife in Chinese. I will also be part of a mission to visit Beijing and ChangChun end of this month.

My family used to be in the export of frozen seafood. It was a seller’s market. There was no problem getting orders, but the challenge was to find the supplies at the right time.
Now I am in the computer business. The software development group is a seller’s market. But the hardware business is a buyer’s market. There is no problem getting supplies, and the challenge is to stock the right quantities, and be there at the right place at the right time to make the sale.
Each business has its challenges, and you have to choose which is your strong suit. When you choose the business you are in, you may want to ask yourself, are you good in sourcing, or are you good in marketing and selling?

I’ve been on a quest of how to be productive, and I’ve been revisiting and rereading again the excellent book, Getting Things Done by David Allen. I have scanned it a couple of times in the past, but then again, if it is really something that you want to do, it is not enough to know, or read, you have to DO IT.
And, same as it takes money to save money, it probably takes time to save time. If you don’t invest on it, it won’t save you anything!
