Without Verification

October 13th, 2006 by Administrator

Here’s a joke that illustrates making decisions without verifying the issues:

A jealous husband called up the house, and talked to the househelper and ask if the Missus was in and whom  she was with. the helper replied that she was in the bedroom with a man.

“Go get the shotgun in the den and shoot them.” ordered the husband.

The helper did as she was told, then asked, ” What do I do now?”

“throw them to the swimming pool, ” was the instruction.

“But, sir, we don’t have a swimming pool. ”

“What!? Oops so sorry, I must have dialed the wrong number!”

Fortune Cookie

October 13th, 2006 by Administrator

During this trip to the United States, I had  a chance to ate in some chinese restaurants, and after the meal, they serve fortune cookies.  It is worth noting that you don’t get fortune cookies in any chinese restaurant in Asia or China, and the fortune cookie is wholly a Chinese-American innovation.

I was able to remember two: ” Your principles mean more to you than any money or success.” and ” You are never bitter, deceptive, or petty“.  May I work hard to make sure that both statements will always ring true.
