Yes, it is.  And whether you have fun, or not, it depends on you. Steve Pavlina also highlights choosing the game your size.  dont’ go to something that is too boring, nor something that will get you game over in just a minute.   Choose your Battles.

He also counsels against getting caught up in the subgame, and losing site of the larger game.  But most of all, know that if you choose not to play, you automatically lose!

Life - The Ultimate Game

What’s the purpose of a game? The purpose of a game is to enjoy the experience – to have fun. Another reason for playing games is to grow, since games can be wonderful teachers. Having fun and growing sounds like a nice way to spend real life, doesn’t it?
