Caramel Apple

I’m not a particular fan of apples, nor caramel, nor anything sweet. But a friend gave us some Chicago Style caramel apple, in which the apple is laced with some caramel, and top off with some peanuts, and it was really cool. The taste of the peanuts and the apple constrasted and blended well with that of the caramel.
You shoudl try it if you can get one. But I think this should not be very hard to make?
