What’s cool in Gmail
Administrator
There is something that is cool in gmail that I think is not only easy to do, but is innovative.
When you register an email address , you can put a period, but actually gmail does not care.
You can also put a + plus sign, and gmail also does not care.
So for all intents, if my email is bizdrivenlife@gmail.com, I can register in sites that my email is biz.drivenlife@gmail.com or bizdriven.life@gmail.com or biz.driven.life@gmail.com and I would still be able to receive the mail.
What good does it do?
If I constantly register bizdriven.life@gmail.com in various websites, and I found out that I am getting spam from it, then I can just automatically delete all the emails sent to bizdriven.life@gmail.com!
I can also register bizdrivenlife+ngkhai@gmail.com or bizdrivenlife+amazon@gmail.com or bizdrivenlife+cnet@gmail.com and I would still receive the mail. And if I start to receive a lot of spam from bizdrivenlife+amazon@gmail.com then I know it is amazon that is spamming me.
