Churchill’s choice
Administrator
Sometimes the thing that can produce the most hurt is to be taken for granted. And if we err on that side, it is always the people closest to us. Just like a Chinese sage who asked, “ if you can be courteous and considerate to strangers, why are you so mean to your own family?” . Here’s an anecdote I got from my friend Hans which is well worth remembering — What Churchill effectively said is that it was not his being a prime minister, or a successful author, that for him was the most defining moment of his life. It is in being married to the right woman.
——–
Towards the end of his life, Winston Churchill was honored at a banquet and someone asked him, If you could come back as anyone after you die, who would it be? Churchill thought for a second, stood up, turned to his wife, and said, Mrs. Churchills second husband.
You just know her heart melted right at that moment. Guys, when is the last time you publicly praised your wife? Or privately for that matter? Its your job to set the tone in your marriage, so start finding the good in your Sweetie and charm her with it. The difference you notice will be profound.
