Well, one should NOT consider this list a great resource. A few franchises that are having problems right now are listed on this list. Quizno’s for example, is listed as a top franchise while lawsuits are accumulating against them…
iSold It, an eBay franchise, is also having some trouble (read this article for more details http://www.franchisebrief.com/blog/2007/04/10/isold-it-suspends-franchise-sales-of-ebay-drop-off-stores/)
Bottom line is, don’t believe all those websites showing “the best franchise opportunities”. Do your due diligence, talk to franchisees, etc… before buying a franchise.

thanks. I guess you are an expert on it.
Certainly no business is perfect. The number 1 franchise in teh study is touted to be Subway. Well, the Subway outlet in the mall near our house lasted a year and then close down, and it has not reopened since ( for two years).
And the mall had good traffic.
