Not being Tech Savvy source of Popularity

The Die Hard sequel is reputedly more popular and has more appeal as a guy next door because people identify with him, because he does not know technology.

With Bruce Willis’ John McClane character, the film also has a “relatable” hero, one that audiences have been familiar with for nearly 20 years. And, ironically, one who is the “least tech-savvy guy in the world,” Levine said.

“He doesn’t need to know about computers to kick ass,” she said. “That’s what gives him his edge.”
