Happier before and After

July 4th, 2007 by Administrator

I meet again another person for the nth time who thinks that if only he can finish x , or get to y, he would be happy.

Are you happier when you are on the road to success, or when you are already there?

For sure, if you know you are on the way to wealth, might as well enjoy the trip? ONe thing I can say is that if you are not enjoying the trip, you won’t enjoy the destination!

I guess at 42, all I can say is that I have probably sworn dozens of time that if I can only accomplish this, or get to that, I would be happy. I have had the fortune of accomplishing many of the goals i have set, and yet, I ask myself whether I am ‘that’ happy. NO. Because the accomplishment of one goal immediately sets into motion another. which finally led myself to conclude that I might as well enjoy the process.

After all, did you ever ask yourself - if you don’t plan to be happy now, when are you going to start?
