I actually forgot what was the exact quote. But when I read this story of Anita, although she was trying to establish something else, it occured to me that sometimes we may unknowingly, and without malice, cause a lot of misery, or trouble to some people without knowing it.
Especially as I go higher into the organization, and is in a positin to establish policies or make decisions without having time to talk to all people concerned, it sometimes occured to me that a well intentioned joke or business ecision can affect other people without us knowing it.
