It could be interesting …. everybody thinks they know how the rich thinks, but not Bill.
There are myths, and maybe finding answers to questions like these will help the poor:
Do the rich feel guilty about their sudden windfalls? Do they enjoy
making money more than giving it away? Does money make them happy? How
has money had a negative or positive impact on their families? How much
of today’s giving is about climbing the social ladder rather than
changing the world? How do the rich define “rich?”
The Wealth Report - WSJ.com : Gates Studies the Rich
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation announced yesterday that it’s funding a new survey of the rich, called “The Joys and Dilemmas of Wealth.” The study, co-funded by Wachovia’s Calibre division, will be conducted by Boston College’s Center on Wealth and Philanthropy. It will poll people worth $25 million or more, with a “considerable portion” of respondents worth $100 million or more.

China leader cites the importance of ICT and innovation in its armed forces, whether as cyberwarfare, or for using simulation in its military training.
It is worth noting that China now has over 160 million internet users, and it is said that China’s local police station each has special officers patrolling not only the streets, but also the Internet.
ITworld.com - Defense comes to forefront at China’s Communist Party Congress
“We must build strong armed forces through science and technology. To attain the strategic objective of building computerized armed forces and winning IT-based warfare, we will accelerate composite development of mechanization and computerization, carry out military training under IT-based conditions, modernize every aspect of logistics, intensify our efforts to train a new type of high-caliber military personnel in large numbers and change the mode of generating combat capabilities.”
For Germany and other nations that feel they have already been targeted by Chinese cyberattacks, Hu’s words are likely to make defense officials in Europe, North America and Japan even more nervous.
“Both military and civilian sectors in China are actively exploring the information warfare concept, which could be gradually developed into a corps of ‘network warriors’ able to defend China’s telecommunications, command, and information networks, while uncovering vulnerabilities in foreign networks,” according to Sinodefence.com, an independent China military-monitoring Web site based in the U.K.
