what Kind of CEO or person do you want to be?

April 4th, 2008 by Administrator

I am thinking about Machiavelli who said whether the king should aspire to be loved, or should he aspire to be feared?  And he proceeded to enumerate the advantages and disadvantages of these options.

And if you are an employee, should you aspire to be trusted, or to be liked?

Your answer to the above will help shape you as a person.( if you are flexible enough to be the person you want to be and not merely a slave to your character and habits).

Your answers to the above really is how you carve out your way of doing things….

A person who feels it is more important to be liked, will most likely be more willing to do things to seek approval.  A person who aims to be trusted would more likely be inclined to disagree if it is against his principles.

There is no short cut to success, and I believe your sincere answer to the above question will help you carved out not only the person you want to be, but with what road you want to take to be a success.
