When People just Gives Excuses

May 25th, 2008 by Administrator

People will give all sorts of stories to justify why they don’t make it.

Allegedly, when Erik Weihenmeyer conquered Mount Everest a s a blind person, some people allegedly claimed that he had an unfair advantage, and went on to say, ” I’d climb Mount Everest too if I couldn’t see how far I had to fall.

Lately, a person by the name of Oscar Pistorius ( whose legs was amputated at the age of one), and thus use bladelike prosthetics or artificial legs, he was said to have been disqualified to competing in the Olympics 400 meters.

Why? Instead of having prosthetic legs seen as a huge impediement, he was told that it gave him an advantage. He was said not only to have superior legs using blades, but because he had artificial legs, he was supposed to use less oxygen in running, and therefore has an advantage. Well, as is all too often, advantage becomes a disadvantage, — it really depends on how you see it.
