For sure!

Technology has enabled us to improve our ability to work. It has also keep us busy not doing our work as it makes us more busy on many other things which without technology would not be there too - like playing video games, or surfing, or doing social networking, or chatting.

While working Americans largely hold positive views about the role of information and communications technology in their lives: 80% say these technologies have improved their ability to do their job; 73% say these technologies have improved their ability to share ideas with coworkers; 58% say these tools have allowed them more flexibility in the hours [...]

21% of women and 10% of men work fewer than 25 hours a week

Schmidt not interested in tech czar job

Maybe somebody should offer that job to Bill Gates - he is now retired…. and I am sure he wants to do some good.

Google’s CEO, who campaigned for the president-elect and is on his economic transition team, takes himself out of the running to be the United States’ first chief technology officer.

Solid State Drives: Better for Users

Many notebook manufacturers are looking at solid-state drives, or SSDs, as a more reliable alternative to hard drives. Similar to the flash memory modules inside music players and thumb drives, SSDs dont have any moving parts, so theyre faster and more durable than hard drives, and they consume less power, resulting in longer battery life.

TSMC says PC chip shipments down 20 percent
