Stories behind the Business Cartoons

September 5th, 2008 by Administrator

My eNGy Business cartoons have been taking up most of my time over this blog. For readers of this blog, I am endeavoring to bridge this gap. Ever since I released the toons, I have published 3 books on the cartoon series, and the first 2 are available as free ebook downloads. The first has exceeded 3,000 downloads, while the second, as of this writing, is nearing 1,200 downloads.

I have added another twists — apparently, my experiences spawns business blog articles, or adding a twist, spawns a humor cartoon. I am now trying to reconcile both - combining the humor, as well as the management lessons I learned.

For the first 8 articles that combines a business blog together with a cartoon humor about it, please check it it out here!

My First eNGy Business Animation

August 18th, 2008 by Administrator

Here is our first attempt at eNGy Animation.

This animation is intended as a small promotion anime for NGenius IT Hub.

It also encapsulates what we have learned the last fifteen years. I started business thinking that technology should be useful to business. Later on, I learned that it is not enough to be useful. Especially in gadgets and gizmos, and consumer retail, you should not only be useful — you should be cool!

Updates to my Business Cartoons

June 6th, 2008 by Administrator

I must apologize that I am not updating this blog as often as I want to.

I have been spending some time in Twitter… Its a new microblogging service, and I feel that when you are busy, it is easier to update. blogs were supposed to be natural, and you just put your thoughts as it comes, but i guess many of us start to care and edit carefully what we write. Twitter is more natural, and I have found that it is a great thing to just jot down what you are doing, or what you are thinking, or put down something nice that you have just read.

I have put the feed into my blog, and I am sure you have been getting a summary of my daily twits. Some twits are really good, and if I have time, I want to just jot it down, and probably develop some of them in the future.

I have also been putting a new business cartoon everyday in my other blog, eNGy.

I released my first eNGY Business cartoon book last April, and hopefully the second one will go to the press in a few days, and will be out end June.

Anyhow, I just finished some changes in the eNGy website, and other than fun business cartoons, I will try to write out some business articles there coupled with teh cartoons. They are bite size ideas with toons so it can be fun and entertaining to read. I just put the first one up there right now, and would appreciate your comments!

Its a Marathon, not a Sprint!

May 21st, 2008 by Administrator

This is a nice illustrations of what famous characters would look like if they look their age:

Dennis the Menace is 57 years old, Bug Bunny is 67.
Felix the Cat is 88, Charlie Brown is 57.
PopEye is 79, and Tom and Jerry is 68.

My business cartoon is still 2 months old. Maybe I am in too much of a rush to make it succeed. Remind me that things like this is not a sprint, but a marathon, and it is really the persistence and the sticktoitiveness that makes things succeed.

1,000 downloads on my e-book!

May 20th, 2008 by Administrator

Sometime today, i reached 1,000 downloads in my e-book eNGY Business Cartoons Book 1.

It took about 5 weeks to hit it.

For those interested, over 965 downloads were the Black and White edition ( but no registration required), and 35 downloaded the colored edition ( but need to leave their email and subscribe to the newsletter).

I am hoping for the day it will hit 5,000 downloads. Of course by next month, i am hoping to make available book 2 for free download as well.

I do Prioritize but my Priorities may be different

May 16th, 2008 by Administrator

In a world where millions of things shout for your attention, there will never be enough money to buy all the things that suit your fancy, or the time to do all the things you want to experience.

The key is to focus and prioritize.

For years, I scouted around for the latest in time management and organization to-do list software. But more and more, I see myself falling behind. WE cannot just list off the things we want to do , and tick them off one by one, because any list will most likely get added to faster than you can do them.

Initially, we think we are keeping time because we most likely do the easier

thing first. but as your list gets longer and the easy task gets ticked off, and the difficult things remain, it becomes a challenge and a chore.

I started to accept that the way to go is to do the Important things first.

In the company, there is the same problem. when you assign tasks, employees take time to do it, because they also have their own task list to do. If you have people who know how to prioritize, and whose priorities jives with yours, you are lucky. but most likely, you face the regular prospect of employees not doing the important things because they got caught up with things they want to do first.

It may be that these things are easier to do, or not really important at all.

I am starting to think that when you head an organization, the matter of success is directly correlated not only on how capable your members are, but how your priorities and focus jive ad gets done. What do you think?
