“One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, `My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.`
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: `Which wolf wins?`
The old Cherokee simply replied, `The one you feed.`”

Some great quotes and stats I picked up while going about everyday task:
- from janet flanner: genius is immediate but talent takes time
- from Marion Blakey: you can’t leave a footprint that lasts if you’re walking on tiptoe.
- from bill gates: success is a lousy teacher. It seduces people into thinking they can’t lose.

Twitter is good for collecting thoughts that occur on the spur of the moment, or collecting tidbits information from your readings. Here are some of my collection of thoughts that I twittered to myself as I go around my daily stuff.
-More and more I am startng to think that being successful is not merely a matter of how much you excel as in how you choose and prioritize on what you excel in.
( This was my thought when I discussed with many employees who seemed to be very talented, but whose focus now is littered all over and thus is not able to bring the desired results they seek in their work. They simply are trying to do too many things which on reflections are not priorities. This is also something I should constantly remind myself….)
-Quote by edward degas. Everyone has talent at 25. The difficult thing is to have it at 50.
-Quote by pablo de sarasate. A genius! For 37 years I’ve practiced 14 hours a day and now they call me a genius!
-Quote by graham greene. I have no talent; its just a question of working, of being willing to put in the time.
-Sometimes I think it is not fruitful to be angry at the world. I like the quote which says be outraged where appropriate, but be selective.
-I like the slogan of barclays bank which says "wealth. What’s it to you. " Maybe answering it right according to your priorities will also be your own key to happiness and fulfillment.
-Another founder who went back to become ceo to fix their company is howard schultz of starbucks. The others were dell and yahoo.
( I also wrote on this about returning CEOs and redoing the corporate culture
-Sheraton hotel slogan: out of town does not mean out of touch. I guess this should also be the battlecry of technology.
-An article in forbes contend that msg has no have side effects but it can fool the brain into sensation of fullness, thus good for weight reduction.
