HP develops ‘smart’ software for data centers
Hewlett-Packard (HP) demonstrated to Asia-Pacific media gathered here technology that could analyze and optimize physical and virtual resources found in a data center. Called HP Insight Dynamics-VSE or “logical servers” technology, this software virtualizes physical servers and removes third-party data analysis so that capacity planning and provisioning becomes faster and more efficient. The software reads and controls physical and virtual resources the same way, allowing users to save money and power. These logical servers are detachable and could then be moved across the infrastructure and serve as physical blade servers.Inquirer.net
