According to a report, Microsoft have appointed 20 year veteran Steven Sinofsky as the new head of the Windows division, having responsibility for Windows OS, Windows Live and Internet Explorer. Steve previously was responsible for developing Windows 7 and his success with delivering Windows 7 on time has led to the promotion. Not only is the product ready for launch, it has a good balance of new features and updates that won’t leave existing users banging their keyboards in anger.More…

I’m a fan of watching 24 and numb3rs season series showing in AXN and I was curious about the intelligence in IT department on how they monitor certain employee of what they are doing in their computers not until i heard about TSA or TOTAL SYSTEM ANALYZER.
What is a TOTAL SYSTEM ANALYZER?
Consider cell phones and texting. Cell phone is a great enabler, but how much time do we waste on it? We can look at computers in the same way. How many hours do we spend doing social network, surfing and looking at YouTube, or downloading videos and mp3s? How much of company time do we use in chatting, answering personal e-mails or playing games?
All these are anathema to the company. That is why, according to the ePolicy Institute, while only 19 percent of US employers monitor the usage of their computers in 2001, in 2005, the figure increased to 36 percent. In 2007, 45 percent of US employers started monitoring computer use of their employees.
The TSA monitors what each employee is doing in their computer, as well as log what websites they are visiting or what software they are running. It also logs and analyzes how much of their hard disk contains video or mp3 files, or illegal software.www.bizdrivenlife.net
TSA as the right environment for the right person. It manages purchased hardware and monitors hardware changes to assist proper istribution of asset within an organization.
