Hewlett Packard is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the HP Deskjet printer. But as successful as the product and the entire Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) have been, that’s nothing to what the immediate future holds, said Vyomesh (VJ) Joshi, executive vice president, IPG. He told the approximately 1,000 solution providers at the company’s Americas Partner Conference that HP accounts for only 1.8 per cent of the pages printed annually and that only eight per cent of the pages printed are done digitally.More.

Hewlett Packard has released what it claims is the world’s fastest mobile printer, the Officejet H470b.

The company claims the new colour inkjet can print at speeds up to 22 pages per minute in black and white and 18 pages per minute in colour, faster than the published speeds for A4 colour printers under $500 on sale up to July last year. Read more…
