awesome beach went there in august of 2006 for da 1st time ,I do alot of spearfishing in hawaii ,born and raised on kauai ,hawaii, and my roots are from argao and iloilo, from grandparents, my asawa from sibonga cebu just a few minutes away I dove tingko for da 1st time and enjoyed it ,speared lapulapu ,and mumsa dagok isda very good eating tinola ,escabeche ,sarap kaayo jud, and will be coming in 2008 in august for town fiesta celebration . And can’t wait to go back tingko dagat.

Yes, I’ve been to Tingko beach in Alcoy, Cebu last December 29, 2008 right after me and the Cebu Mountaineering Society made our annual Year-End Climb at Nug-as. The sand were dazzingly white and the waters were amazingly clear! I wonder why many Cebuanos flock to Boracay when there’s a paradise in their midst that is very accessible and quite cheap to travel.

Tingko beach is a public beach so there are no private resorts within the area which is merely less than a kilometer stretch.

But you can use the number 4839194 to tell the caretaker of the beach that you need to reserve a cottage. there are only four cottages to choose but you can bring along tents and pitch them along the sand.

you can secure overnight stays there, and lot of places to choose from. there is a decent videoke house / convenience store in the eastern side of the beach stretch. updated two-way air-conditioned bus ride from cebu city to tingko is PhP200.

Actually, if u read through the whole article, Tingko Beach is hidden from view from the road. It’s situated below a low cliff, just a few feet high, and it’s in a cove, meaning, an inlet, rather small. So driving your car straight to the beach (if you mean the sandy strip), well, can’t be possible.

But you can park your car somewhere near the beach, not along the beach. There’s an enclosure where vehicles can park. There are also some open spaces for parking at no cost.

Tingko beach is noted to be secluded. My simple question is, Can you drive your car to the beach, or do you have to leave it someplace and walk to the beach?

its interesting to learn from other people, the beach of alcoy.for the common fols its ordinary…but for the lovers and mecholic the place can create memories.

ive been a fan of the waves and the sea breese…my memories seems upgrade into tiera byte.as if i could recall all my past and ponder on it,the good and funny side of life.its on that beach i let my emotion out,having been awake at the early dawn by some nearby folks comming and talking to some fisherman. i wake up and walk on the white sand leaving my footprints behind, then i stood on the rock,looking for the sunshine slowly rising up.the excitement the entense feeling…wow…Thank God its a beautiful life.and tears drops down, feeling lonely and sad…how i wish someone is near beside me.

and the waves roll to the shore…and i could see that its really nice in there…after all i became poetic,and romantic…visit there and youll see.

a friend invited me to check out this place, Tingko beach, last Holy week. when i saw the white sand and the blue water, my…i was in love with the place. everytime i got a chance to visit cebu, i always find time to go to this place. if you love to go outdoor…this is one of the best places to visit in cebu.
