ASMC the only De La Salle Affiliated School in Cebu
ASMC (Andres Soriano Memorial College) is the only De La Salle affiliated school in Cebu which is thirty-five kilometers away from Cebu City and specifically located in the northwestern part of Cebu. Situated in a place conducive for learning because it is being surrounded by green vegetation and far from the noisy street in the city “it takes 2 hours travel to reach a near by mall”
Despite the distance from the city, ASMC de la Salle still gives quality education and maintains its standard. The school produces graduates who excel in their different fields, like Anna Fegi, a well known singer; Mr Joaquin E. Quintos IV, General Manager IBM Philippines and more…

Perhaps the first few words wouldn’t ring a bell, but then looking at its affiliator, some people would react…”Oooohhh, La Salle”
I mean, they’ve heard about DLSU, right and all the other LaSalle schools in the Philippines…and who would have though there was another Lasalle school in the mountains of Toledo?
And i really mean “mountains”.
Who would have thought that there in the far-away greenness of lush trees would spring an institution where individuals sprung out ready and willing to face the world?
Who would have thought that in the end of the travel of rocky roads, there would reach a place brimming of undiscovered yet already-tapped individuals brimming with talent and bright tomorrows?
Who would have thought that the ordinary barangay of Lutopan could boast extraordinary teachers who have been important persons who have crafted succesful people of today?
And who would have thought that somehow, someday, someway, this institution would stand fully known, proud and overflowing with accomplishments to add to its already-loaded files?

i am a fresh graduate of ASMC and whenever asked what school I graduated from, i proudly smile and say,

most people’s reactions varied.
some gave resounding awes and some gave me looks of recognition and returned my smile.
i mean, a graduate of LaSalle??? hmmmmmm….who wouldn’t be proud of it?
Well, this school has made me what i am now.
…it helped me develop my self-confidence to the maximum level where i’m not anymore afraid to stand up to a crownd and voice out the things i feel for i know that whatever i speak would come out from a mouth of an educated person, and not just from anybody who would blab away anything that would come to his mouth.
…it helped me develop the intellectual skills i now possess for the school has strongly reached its goal to develop students in all the aspects, especially the intellectual aspects.
…it helped me develop discipline within me for here i learned the importance of the word “discipline” and what most people mean that everything follows when a person possesses this trait.
and most impostantly…
…it helped me gain fear in God.

La Salle as foundly called & or known in our community, is one of the best learning institution in Toledo City. I said it is one or the best private school because the schools structure of moulding their students to become a responsible & God fearing citizen is felt not only by the students in general but by my personal learning experience in particular.
The teaching stuff of ASMC known as the LaSallians mentors are doing there moral responsibility in guiding, coaching,& teaching their students to become what they want us to be-a product like Saint La Salle morally, socially,& religously educated students. Personally, I do believe ASMC La Salle as a private institution-is a learning school that helps me to be what I am today for nine years in the making-my struggles, hardships, learnings, & most espically my total being as a student in this beloved La Salle, as I learned, is worth emulating. As expected though I encountered difficulties along the way, as part of the learning process, again as I learned, our respective teachers are always there not only to guide us but to mold us as a total responsible & educated students guided with the values of our dear Saint La Salle. Strengthened with the mission & vision of ASMC.

you used such degrading and insulting words but i respect your opinion…we are entitled to have our personal views. Yes, our school may not be perfect, students may not be all good and smart but that’s reality. No one can brag that their school is perfect. At least in asmc, the admin tries its best to provide students with the necessary knowledge and to inculcate in them the right values. The teachers too try as much as possible to attend to the students’ problems to help them improve. Our teachers are not “maldita”, they are accomodating and kind. So is our principal, she is the greatest. If you don’t personally kow them, please don’t jump into conclusions. Just a thought, kung gimalditahan man ka sa mga teachers, maybe naa kay nabuhat nga sayop sa ila. Ang taw dili man masuko kung wala sila gihilabtan…

ASMS or ASMC will always and forever be part of my life. i may not be as famous as my sister but i started my talent in singing in this school. i started singing when i was in level 2. (By the way, i studied here for 12 years.) now, im so happy and proud to be here in hong kong and work for Walt Disney (Hong Kong Disneyland). i owe this to some of our teachers who gave me the chance to grow and improve my talent (alangan, halos every year paapilon jud ko ug variety show…from “Prase Concert” to “Christmas Variety Shows”..wa pa diay labot ang mga “Music Minus-One” ni Mrs. Loyola). Former ASMS…hmmmmnnn… this school really rocks. No.1 always… Nagtubo ko kuyog niining eskwelahana. Ug utang nako niining eskwelahana kung asa nako karon kay mao ni ang naghubad ug nagmugna sa akong pagka-ako. 14 Yrs kong nagkiglahutay niining eskwelahana… panahon sa kaguol ug kalipay(apil ang pagka visitor sa Nursery ug ang Nursery jd)… Dili ako usa ka utokan nga pagka tawo pero tungod sa tabang sa akong eswelahan(ang ASMS sauna nga karon ASMC na) naka abot ako kung asa ako karon tungod kay dili lang ka nila tabangan sa pagpasar sa imong grado kundili hasta sa paglig-on ug pagtarong sa imong pagkatawo kung diin usa pd kini sa kinahanglanon kaau nga butang alang makab-ot ang imong mga damgo.
Ako nagpasalamat sa ASMS(ASMC karon) sa daku kaau nga tabang sa akong kinabuhi…. hilabihan na sa akong mga higala nga nagkigtambayayong ug nagkiglahutay kani-adto.
Hasta pd sa akong mga maestra nga naghatag kanako ug maayong leksyon dili lamang para sa grado ug hasta pd ang leksyon sa kinabuhi…
ug sa akong kay i-bol kada buntag sauna si Mr.Duero ug Mr.Jumamoy… kung asa man kamo karon gibutang sa Ginoo.. hinaut naa kamo sa maayong panglawas ug magpadayung magmalipayun.
Im a 1984 grad of asms, im now here in qatar working as a quality control engineer, im proud to be an alumni of this great school, hope all the legacy will always be passed on the next generations to come. thanks!!!!!

I have not only considered this school as a place to learn but it was a HOME for me where I learned to live and relate with my teachers and classmates and schoolmates for the 12 years that I stayed there. Everyone treated each other with great RESPECT.
I would always be forever grateful to the kind of training that i have recieved in this school. I was taught my ABCs and 123′s here. Now that I am a teacher here in the US, my students and co-teachers have always been amazed at how well I speak English. Thanks to all the English speaking campaigns the school have initiated since I was in kindergarten. Thank you to all my teachers who have always pushed me to become the BEST that I can be.

dinhi gyud na hikom ang akong 12 ka tuig na pagtunga ni-ining tungha-an sa Lutopan apan sa dugay na panahon na wla ko nakabalik unsa na kaha ang hitsura ani karon sa tungha-ana nga mugna sa akong pagkatao, bisan sa makadaghan kog bisita ni mr J , gahot ni Mr D ug balik balik gunit ug micropono inig kabunatag hehhe..apan gumikan ni-ini ako nakamata, nakamugna, nakat-on sa pagbansay-bansay sa hawang ug halapad na dalan sa kaugma-on….inubanan sa lapyahan sa kalipay ug kasakit akong dakong pasalamat sa ginikanan ug madtutodlo ning maong tungahan…
