Hashing’ is an activity of ‘Hash House Harriers’.
So what is HHH (or H3)?
“A Drinking Club with a Running Problem”?
This is a phrase usually used to describe Hash Groups all over the World.
The ‘running’ is NOT serious; the real emphasis is on the SOCIAL side, and on having FUN.
The Origins of ‘Hashing’:-
The Hash House Harriers received its humble beginnings in 1938 from a British guy named Albert Stephen Ignatius Gispert, in what is now Malaysia. Having a fondness for the “paper chase”, he gathered together several expatriates to form a group in Kuala Lumpur that would later become a world-wide legacy. The fraternity received its name from the Selangor Club Chambers, which due to it’s lackluster food was commonly referred to as the ‘Hash House’.
Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) will reward entrepreneurial spirit in tertiary level. This actually started as an HSBC IT Entrepreneurship Contest where our very own Unversity of Cebu (UC) and Cebu Normal University (CNU) made it in the first round in last year’s contest competing top calibers from DLSU, ADMU, UAP, UST among others.
