Octoberfest at SM City

October is considered as a fiesta month for all beer drinkers. Thus it launches its “Octoberfest” a couple of years ago.

For this month, SM City Cebu will be the area for October Fiesta Strip and it will be transformed into a party playground for all San Miguel Beer drinkers and those who enjoy loud music.

Party goers will enjoy a free entrance at the Fiesta Strip from Monday thru Thrusday. There will be a series of activities like henna tattoo, food from Monterey and from other food stalls plus a compilation of music hits that will be played on CD all night long.

The beer festival will go on until weekends where they may enjoy live band music and will keep the party going starting at 8 p.m.

There will be an entrance fee of P40 during Friday and on weekends which entitles the guest to a free San Miguel Beer drink.

Cine Europa at Ayala Center Cebu

Cine Europa Festival Cebuano cineaste will be treated to a world-class film extravaganza on October 14, 15, 16, 2005 in a special film festival dubbed Cine Europa at the Ayala Center Cebu.

Courtesy of the ten European embassies, the ten films, one from each country will be shown in successive manner, one after the other, starting on October 14, a Friday until October 16, a Sunday.

Starting off on October 14 with Koirankynnen leikkaaja (Dog Nail Clipper) from Finland at 1:30 p.m. Knoflíkári (Buttoners) from Czech Republic will follow immediately at 4 p.m. A film from United Kingdom called Millions will cap off the first day of the film festival.

22 New Real Estate Cebuano Brokers

A third of Cebuano examinees who took the real estate brokers examination last May 29, 2005 have successfully passed as announced by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The exam which is administered by DTI aims to regulate the real estate business in the country and protect the welfare of the buying public.

There were 61 Cebuano examinees and only 22 or 36.06% successfully hurdled the exam.

Maria Arlinda Nunez, topped the exam in Cebu with a score of 89.25. The highest national rating of 93.00 was garnered by Mr. Elias Ang and Maria Cristina H. Gonzales, both took the examination in Quezon City. Ms. Lorna Lanuza ranked second with a rating of 92.50 and Ms. Lauren Tricia O. Santiago ranked 3rd with a rating of 92.00.
