Cebu Pacific Plans International Fare Cut

Cebu PacificThe Gokongwei-owned airline, Cebu Pacific, is set to cut fare on all its international flights starting next year by introducing a low fare scheme similar to ‘Go Fares’ promo launched in mid-November for its domestic flights that resulted to 90% increase in booking sales in less than a month.

Cebu Pacific currently flies to Hong Kong and Seoul, South Korea for its international network.

Although no specific date as to when the promo for its international flights would start, airline officials are optimistic that it is going to be a success just like its domestic version.

Under the domestic ‘Go Fares’ promo scheme, one can fly for as low as P688 one way. That is, if he is willing to travel during the lean hours or lean times such as early morning or middle of the week. But there is still once catch - he should book early, as early as several days or weeks prior.

The said promo for its domestic travel market is available all year round. The airline officials are bullish about the expected surge of bookings to continue on even after the holiday season. With the ‘Go Fares’ promo people are expected to fly more frequently and those who have long shunned the prohibitive airfare may now start to reconsider their ‘fear’ of flying.

    Cebu Pacific really sucks!

They promise to have their passenger a secured refundable ticket if worst comes to worst if a passenger misses his/her flight.

I rarely change plane courier but because of some very important business trips, I have no choice but to opt for Cebu Pacific but unfortunately I miss the flight and they never let me have a 2nd trip nor was I given refund.

That’s how they treated their clients and passengers. No wonder they don’t have loyal customers.

If you are searching for Cebu Pacific tips about thier flight, comments from passengers like me, I advice to think twice before choosing Cebu Pacific Philippines air travel.

Even if they have new Airbus 300 or whatever, don’t sacrifice price over inconvenience and poor/lack of customer support and management.

I am not promoting nor endorsing as I never been an employer but my experience with PAL (Philippine Airlines) so far in my 2 years of air travel was well above thier league. You can fly safe and sound without worries and inconvenience.

Have you heard PAL crashed or experience, personally I never, but I’m sure you do heard that Cebu Pacific airlines sucks, they crash many times.

So readers think twice, as the saying goes once biten twice shy.

    Richard

P.S. Lesson? Don’t fly with Cebu Pacific airlines again, unless PAL (Philippine Airlines), Air Philippines, China Airlines, etc are gone and Cebu Pacific is the only option.

Agreed with Richard’s comment. CEBU really do sucks.

I am from HK and I have business and personal reasons to fly to Manila many times during the year. I have been able to flown PAL exclusively except the last holiday season when everywhere is fully booked.

Here are 6 of my personal reason you should never fly cebu:
    1. Their Manila service hotline is almost unreachable. I cant even get that number from their website. I have to get it find it thru an agent.
    2. Their staff at Robinson’s Galleria are unintelligent, bad attitude and cant even show me certain charges they are forcing on me to change my flight. (Instead of PHP200, they charged me 38 USD).
    3. One of the flight attendent is discourteous and seriously lacking manners. (The other ones are ok so you can discount this)
    4. Are you really sure you are getting the new Airbus? At least in the international route you don’t. I got the aging 757 to and back.
    5. At PAL, you get the full meal. CEBU you get a dry sandwich.
    6. At PAL, you get some form of inflight entertainment. At CEBU, you get 1 of 6 free teeshirts (if you can win).

So now you must think I work for PAL. Nope! Last time I went, the plane was delayed an hour and the auxilary power shutdown on the tarmac causing the whole plane to go dark. But at least their safety records is still better than CEBU.

Have to disagree with the 2 comments above. Took Cebu Pacific to Hong Kong and Singapore in the past 6 months and it’s been great. PAL’s monopoly of the Philippine airline industry has finally been broken and people now have a better (newer planes) and cheaper even, option. At the end of the day, Cebu Pacific doesn’t claim to being a luxury carrier (so no need for all the frills). They just let you go to your destination, safely and with more money to spend on shopping!
