My First Glimpse of Harem
Thursday, December 15th, 2005Although I’m not a Cebuano by birth, but I feel I am nevertheless. Aside from the Cebuano tongue that we use at home as a first language, my wife is part Cebuano too, being an offspring of a Cebuano mother and a Mindanaoan father. Since we converse in Cebuano most of the time and we both make a living here, I feel like more Cebuano than an out-of-towner here in this beautiful city I call home.
Just like any other immigrants to this ‘Queen City of the South’ my curiousity has brought me to places I never imagined I would venture in. I can’t resist the urge to seek the regal attributes this queen has possessed. An inquisitive person as I am, not a single testosterone-inducing corner of this immense domain that escapes my probe. So there I was with my buddies sampling every piece of the pie that the royal host has laid out for us to savor with.
