PSHS in Argao Needs Campus Director, Teachers, Staff

The Philippine Science High School is due to open its Central Visayas campus in Argao, Cebu in June this year. The PSHS Central Visayas in Argao, Cebu will be the PSHS sytem’s ninth regional campus in the country since it was established in 1964 with a single campus located at Agham Road in Diliman, Quezon City.

The unified science high school system in the country was created for the purpose of giving an education highly enriched in science and mathematics to exceptionally gifted Filipino children. After 24 years, in 1998, it started to reach out to other regions in the country by opening its Southern Mindanao campus in Davao, its first campus outside Diliman, the main campus.

Tabogon Central School Goes Hi-tech

Students from most private schools and some public schools in Cebu City have been enjoying the ease of learning thru the use of computer technology for years now. On the contrary, there are still a lot of schools in the far flung areas of Cebu where students have yet to come face to face with the mouse.

But not anymore for students in Tabogon Central School. Globe Telecom, the country’s second largest telecommunications company was tapped by the local government unit to give their students a chance to use the computer technology to improve their ability to learn their lessons and other subjects in school they normally get from text books which are often outdated.
