Mandaue Hosts Kabayo Festival 2006

EquestrianCebuanos will get to witness again the annual National Horseshow and Competition which is a unique event featuring the country’s finest horse breeds in a show dubbed “Kabayo Festival”.

Mandaue City will get the privilege to host this year’s event which will be held on Feb. 25 and 26, 2006 at the Cebu Boardwalk in Mandaue South Reclamation Area. The 2-day event will gather the top equestrians and horse enthusiasts alike from top equine clubs in the country that include Dacao Horse Club of Ormoc, Horsemen’s Association, Malaybalay Horsemen Association, Impasug-ong Horsemen’s Association, Southern Mindanao Horsemen’s Federation, Cagayan de Oro Horsemen’s Association and the Tagaytay Highlands Horsemen’s Association.

Erika, Esperanza, Josefa of Cordova Bay

Three beautiful-sounding names conjure up images of three young and pretty ladies in a classic Spanish movie. Their names seem to have a power that makes men swoon with admiration.

Erika, single, unattached and available. Esperanza, single but attached, yet available. Josefa may have been attached to many others, but surprisingly available. They are all models and equally beautiful.

Mad About Nam’s Cuisine?

Vietnamese cuisineMost Cebuanos are already at home with Western food such as the ubiquitous hamburger in many fastfood chains and a slew of European restaurants that help make European foods popular. There are those who can’t live a week without downing a bowl of hot congee in a multitude of Chinese restaurants. Many of us are no strangers anymore to a lot of Japanese food and who hasn’t tried the most popular sushi or sashimi? Korean and Thai cuisines are now beginning to take roots also in Cebuanos’ gastronomic culture.

But who among you tried Vietnamese cuisine? Well, yes, Vietnamese cuisine is relatively stranger to most Cebuanos, for now. But in a few years’ time, Vietnamese food will be a common item in Cebuanos’ dining options.
