3G Now in Cebu
Thursday, February 16th, 2006Smart subscribers in Cebu City may now enjoy the 3rd generation technology in mobile communication as Smart Communications, Inc. picked Cebu City , together with Manila, Baguio and Davao, as a trial area for its 3G technology service before going full blast nationwide as soon as all the necessary infrastructure are in place.
Subscribers with 3G-capable handsets will enjoy the 3G services on a free trial basis. These services include video calling, video streaming, high speed Internet browsing and special 3G content downloads. This makes Smart the first mobile operator in the country to offer 3G services to the public ahead of its archival, Globe Telecoms.
