Rose Pharmacy’s 100th Outlet

Started out as a neighborhood drugstore along Martires St. (now M.J. Cuenco Ave.) in Cebu Cityn in 1952, Rose Pharmacy has grown into one of the largest drugstore chain of stores in the country. Today, it will enter a new milestone in its history as it will open its 100th outlet along M.C. Briones St. in Mandaue City.

Rose Pharmacy was established in 1952 by the Boholano enterprising couple Engr. Benjamin Collantes Lim and Rosario Borja Lim. After graduating from college with a Pharmacy degree to her belt, Rosario decided to put up a small drug store in order to practice her profession.

3rd Asian Congress on Pediatric Infectious Diseases in Cebu

Pediatricians from all over the world are expected to gather in Cebu City on March 7-10 for the 3rd Asian Congress on Pediatric Infectious Diseases and the 13th Pediatric Infectious Disease Society of the Philippines Annual Convention.

Prominent personalities in the field of pediatrics and other medical fields from the country and around the world are invited to speak during this large gathering of its kind in Asia. Having the theme: “Pediatric Infections in the 21st Century: Meeting the Challenges,” the event will be held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino in Lahug, Cebu City , Philippines.

FTV Adds Cebu in Its Growing Network

FTV logoFashion TV is a French television channel, owned by fashion house Michel Adam, that broadcasts worldwide via cable and satellite. Most of its programming consists of short (approximately 5-minute) clips from fashion shows, behind the scenes glimpses of the modelling industry, special events and awards ceremonies.

FTV has entered into partnership with Bigfoot Entertainment, through its affiliate, the International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT) whose headquarters are located in Mactan, to establish a Philippine Fashion TV Model School.

It has even attracted more and more customers mostly from other countries in recent years.

In fact, the biggest challenge, so far, in its entire 9-year history as the country’s leader and only fastcraft builder, is the contract it has won from the world’s largest defense contractor - Lockheed Martin. Lockheed Martin is also an aerospace manufacturer and advanced technology company formed in 1995 by the merger of Lockheed Corporation with Martin Marietta. It is based in Bethesda, Maryland, in the United States.
