Indiana Aerospace University: Cebu’s First and Only
The country’s first and only Aerospace University continues to lead in producing future aviation professionals with programs in Aerospace Engineering, Airline Management, Aircraft Maintenance Technology, Aviation Technology-Major in Flying, Hotel & Restaurant Management and Tourism & Travel Management.
Founded in 1992, the Indiana Aerospace University in Lapu-Lapu City was conceived to answer the growing demand for qualified and well-trained manpower in aeronautics and aviation related field, as a result of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport and its opening to direct international flights. Moreover, the expansion of multinational aircraft maintenance and overhaul (MRO) stations in the country plays a vital role why IAU was established.
IAU is a training facility composed of Flight School, Maintenance School, Flight Attendant School and College. It was founded philanthropist Dr. Jovenal B. Toring in 1992. It is reputed in the aviation industry as Asia’s biggest aerospace university. Its 15-hectare campus is located at IAU Town Center along Kagodoy Rd., Brgy. Basak, Lapu-Lapu City beside the Mactan-Cebu International Airport.
