Summer in Cebu is unusually hot this month until April 17. The tropical summer sky is cloudless for sure and the piercing heat of the sun will definitely burn your skin like a lobster fresh from the boiling pot. But why do a lot of people are rushing out of their house and head somewhere despite of the glaring sun?

Brace yourself to the biggest sale in town this summer!

A mall-wide sale for theree days at SM City Cebu will surely give Cebuanos more reasons to celebrate this summer. That’s three days of bargain hunting at every store of the mall’s more than 300 tenants plus the mall’s anchor stores, the SM Department Store, SM Appliance Center and SM Supermarket. That will happen on March 31, April 1 and 2.

The mall is not only slashing down the prices of all its merchandise but also giving away prizes to lucky shoppers. To qualify in the raffle, a shopper only needs to present a proof of purchase worth P500, single or accumulated, at the raffle booth at Atrium BC, Lower Ground Floor. Among the prizes at stake are 15 JVC Digital Audio players and 18 SM gift certificates worth P3,000 each. Raffle is held every hour starting at 12 noon during the three-day sale.

That’s impossible, you would say. Ridiculous, even.

The first time you hear the news about an airliner offering a P1 for its seat, you would surely be rolling in the aisles in disbelief. And probably you would walk away and dismiss the news as a joke. But the Cebu-based airline Cebu Pacific Airways is selling its seats at rock-bottom prices, quite literally. If you think it’s just another cheapo gimmick, then pick up your phone and give them a ring to confirm.

Cebu Pacific (CEB), is known as the country’s low-fare pioneer, giving the flag carrier, PAL, a better competition since its first service in early 1994. To strengthen its mission to fly more people to more destinations around the country, it will offer seats at P1 to any of its domestic destinations from March 29 to April 2 or until seats are sold out.
