Some parents might find it confusing as to how to keep their school-age children busy during summer so as to make their summer fruitful. Some might have decided to send them to their ancestral towns for a summer vacation while some have already laid out scheduled activities for their children.

Yet, for those who still have to make up their minds on what to do this summer, check out the local dailies’ classified ads for any summer classes or activities in your area. Or better yet, check out the schools and malls near your area and chances are, they have a lot of summer offerings for your children and even for adults.

CICC Groundbreaking Today

The Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) will finally break ground today in its 38,136 square-meter site in Mandaue City’s reclamation area. CICC will be the main venue of the upcoming 12th Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit and the 2nd East Asia Forum scheduled from December 11 to 14 this year.

Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and Manduae City Mayor Thadeo Ouano will grace the groundbreaking ceremony which will also be attended by other prominent personalities of Cebu and the national government.

The Mandaue City mayor is hopeful and optimistic that the building of the convention facility will turn his city into one of the major convention capitals in this part of the world. He foresees the transformation of the city from industrial capital of Cebu into a major convention and exhibition capital of Southeast Asia.
