Inter-Club Football in Cebu

Football in Cebu has been active for years albeit the dwindling popularity of the sport in other parts of the Philippines. There are more than 20 active clubs in Cebu who are mostly varsities from local schools and universities in cities and towns around the province. Many of which have been national champions.

On April 28 until May 4, Cebu City will get to host another exciting football extravaganza as the Cebu Inter-Club Football Tournament unfolds in various playing venues spread across the metro. The tournament which is organized by the Cebu Amateur Football Club has already attracted 12 teams from outside Cebu. The out-of-towners include teams from Negros Occidental, Iloilo, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, and Dumaguete City.

CBM 2006 To Highlight Cebu’s 52 Cities and Towns

Cebu Business Month has been celebrated for years with its primary focus on the provincial capital. This year however, all the 47 towns and five chartered cities of the province will have each a spot in the two-months long celebration of business success and opportunities of Cebu, this time not just on the capital but the entire province.

CBM has been Cebu City’s annual business event organized by CCCI featuring seminars, conferences, sports events, and other related activities that give emphasis on the dynamism of the city’s economy. The inclusion of Cebu’s other towns and cities in the event is a result of the dialog between Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia and the new set of officers of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) last Wednesday.
