Wednesday, April 12th, 2006Cebuano great retired Chief Justice Hilario Davide Jr. was appointed new ambassador to the United Nations in New York. His appointment, however, from the President still needs confirmation from the Commission on Appointments to make it legally official which sees no hindrance.
The Commission on Appointments is made up of 13 senators with the Senate President, currently Franklin Drilon, automatically becoming the CA chairman and 12 members of the House.
