Cebuano firms good model of entrepreneurial success

A Manila-based businessman expressed belief that Cebu is a model of entrepreneurship in the country.
“Cebuano companies are very good examples of Filipino entrepreneurship.
The companies here are continually doing business despite political challenges. Cebu, in general, is doing well because you do not allow yourself to become affected by political bickering,†said Robert Trota, Philippine Franchising Association (PFA) and Max’s Restaurant president.
“There have been talks among businessmen that Cebu is a good testing ground. If you make it here, you can make it anywhere,†he said in an interview outside the InTourPreneur 2006 Franchising Conference at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino yesterday.
