After showing an impressive performance in San Francisco, California, Dancesport-Team Cebu City now eyes to conquer New York when the 15th Empire State Dancesport Championships takes place today at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Times Square, Manhattan.

The Cebuano squad will be competing in 33 different events in three days.

Rey Fuentes, general manager of the newly opened Parklane Hotel, bared his conservative estimate on meals and other expenses by the delegates during their stay in Cebu for the summit.

Department of Tourism in Central Visayas Director Patria Aurora Roa said the 10,000 delegates to the summit will come in staggered batches, with participants in the business leaders’ meeting coming first so that Asian business executives will arrive first and then exit to pave the way for the other batches that lead to the summit proper.
