First is Monique Luillier, the daughter of MIchael and Amparito Lhuillier, owner of M Lhuillier pawnshop chain in the country.  She recently received the L.A. Fashion Achievement Award, the 2006 Bridal Designer of the year, The Best Long Gown Collection from New York and Chicago.

She is slated to have a show , the monique Lhuillier fashion show on November 12 at the Shangrila Hotel, Makati.

Cebuanos Maria Donna and Jimmy Marquez also won respectively gold and silver medals at the recent MusicFest in Shanghai. Both of them are slated to perform at the forthcoming ASEAN summit which will be held in Cebu this December 11 to 14.
