Is the Philippines Finally Turning Around?

Workers are hurriedly putting together the finishing touches on the International Convention Center in Cebu, one of the Philippines’ oldest cities, ahead of a summit of East Asian leaders next month. No one, not even Philippines President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, is sure whether the new convention center will be ready in two weeks to receive dignitaries from Japan, China, South Korea, and Southeast Asia. Indeed, a nearby hotel may be dragooned as a backup venue.

Philippines’ Cebu Pacific Adds 14 Domestic Connections

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) has further expanded its coverage by introducing 14 domestic route connections from Cebu.

CEB has started offering 14 connecting routes from Cebu via Manila and Davao, with fares starting from P799 (US$16) one-way, exclusive of fuel surcharges and taxes.

Launching of “Supreme Destiny” online game

Intellectual Property e-Games Inc., the proprietor of country’s top 2 Online gaming products, RAN and 02Jam, and Dreamville (community based portal) launched a medieval fantasy based game called “Supreme Destiny” in Ayala Activity Center Cebu, almost a hundred computers were set up to be used for online games fanatics. One of their highlights is the mini concert of slapshock. One of the sponsors of this event is Ng Khai Dev’t Corp.

ACRC Conducted Its 1st Induction of Officers

Association of Computer Resellers of Cebu (ACRC) conducted  its 1st Induction of Officers  held at Waterfront Casino and Hotel last November 24, 2006.  A formerly known as ACBP or Association of Computer Business in the Philippines -Cebu Chapter has formed into ACRC as a sole computer organization in Southern Visayas. This year ACRC’s President is a dynamic and vison-oriented, Mr. Wilbert Tan of CBX Corporation.

Logo competition.  ACRC conducted a logo competition to all members of its assocation. This logo is the official logo of Association of Computer Resellers in Cebu.   A winning entry of Ng Khai Development Coporation  beating the total 16 entries from different members namely: CBX, Cebu REM, TTi, LYK, Perfect Star, Ng Khai, Nutech & Philbytes.
