CICC Impressive
After so much quarrels, debate and doubt, the Cebu International Convention Center, started and finished in 7 months formally opens. It gives a total of 26,000 square meters of exhibit and convention space, and during the 12th Cebu ASEAN Summit will be housing the major media organizations and press briefings. Each country also got all their liaison set up there.
It is an imposing structure. The last several night, even well past midnight, I see the Governor of Cebu, Gwen Garcia staying there, and personally supervising it. Governor Gwen has gotten a lot of flak because this was her pet project. I guess with the completion of the project, it looks like the critics for now will have not much to say….
It is after all, the people who take risks, and make sure that things get done, rather than the critics ( who will always have one thousand doubts) , who will improve our lives and move our economy.
Impressive! Every time I pass by the CICC I feel proud to be a Cebuano! Go, Go, Gov Gwen!
