Microsoft Phils. Inaugurated their Cebu Office at Skyrise Bldg., IT Park, Lahug on December 26, 2006.

Microsoft chose Cebu City to be their headquarter’s in the south because of it’s competitive climate and vibrant business activities accdg. to Boy Bawal, Microsoft Southern Phils. Sales Operations Director. They strongly believe that Cebu is geared towards becoming the next IT Hub in the Country.

The Company pledge to the President to continue its programs that are meant to improve the productivity and competitiveness of Filipino communities and businesses. Microsoft said it has committed around three hundred million to implement various programs that aim to enhance IT education for students, communities, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their dependents, educators, businesses and government offices. Microsoft Phils. Managing Director, Antonio Javier said the company will also implement for the first time its “One Follow Me” program for OFWs. The program, which will also be implemented in Cebu, will provide OFWs for a chance to talk to their families through voice protocol and also, as a channel to send remittances to their families in the country.
