Indonesia Interested to work with RP Furniture

Sun.Star Cebu - Indonesians eye ‘union’ with RP furniture sector

NDONESIA found Cebu-made furniture displayed at Asean summit venues “impressive.”

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) 7 Director Asteria Caberte said the sentiment caused Indonesian officials, who attended the 12th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) summit, to propose the integration of Indonesia’s raw materials supply sector with Philippine furniture makers.

“Indonesia is strong on raw materials (supply) while the Philippines is strong in craftsmanship. That is why they have plans to integrate with us,” Caberte told Sun.Star Cebu.

    Furniture Maker for TurboCAD

On Wednesday the 19th of November there will be a special TurboCAD training day specifically aimed at those wanting to create 3D models. The day would be especially relevant to those involved in furniture making, kitchen design and model engineering. The emphasis on the day will be the 3D tools, but also encompass viewing the 3D models as orthographic projections and printing.

The following day will be a training day on Furniture Maker. Furniture Maker v6 enables simple changing of elements (doors, clamps, office table footing, shelf footing, window and door panels etc.), materials and change of dimensions with subsequent data transfer to DAEX CUT, which offers data processing for production (list of parts, material total, optimizing of sectioning plans).

The courses are restricted to seven and will be held at our offices in the centre of Winchester. They commence at 10am and finish just before 6pm, a light lunch is provided. Those wishing to attend both days can take advantage of our corporate rates at local hotels for as little as £69 B+B, but either day can be booked individually.

Those attending are also entitled to 50% reduction in the cost of the software.
