Cebu Exhibition to Feature Lifestyle Furniture

CEBU CITY, Feb. 16 Asia Pulse - Local furniture manufacturers will feature pieces that evoke the typical Cebuano lifestyle in an upcoming exhibition, the Cebu X 2007: Everything Inspires.

“In every show we think of using new materials. There is no limit to creativity,” said Michael Basubas, Cebu Furniture Industries Foundation (CFIF) president.
He said this year’s Cebu International Furniture and Furnishings
Exhibition will be held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino
from Feb. 26 to March 1.

The exhibition will feature lifestyle furniture and furnishings, contract furniture and furnishings and outdoor furniture.

The
items that will be on display would include multi-media pieces made
from indigenous materials such as rattan, wicker, bamboo, wrought iron,
wood and buri.

Cebu Surpasses Property Tax Collection Target in 2006

The Cebu Provincial Government has posted a total collection of P244.46 million (US$5.1 million) in real property tax for 2006, surpassing the P234.90 million target for the year.

The surplus is attributed to the efficiency in the collection of taxes.

Philippine Co to Launch Upscale Residential Project in MacTan

Mactan Southgate Holdings, a high-end condominiums developer, will introduce to the local market in June this year the first phase of its latest residential project in Punta Engano, Lapu-Lapu City in Mactan, an official said.

Mactan Southgate Holdings is the real estate arm of Coral Point Development Corp.(CPDC).
The project, called Coral Point Gardens Executive Residences, includes
four buildings of executive residences and service apartments built on
an 8,000-square meter property, which is part of the four-hectare Coral
Point Village Resort Complex (CPVRC).
