It will rise right beside Cebu’s newest landmark, the Cebu International Convention Center.

The Department of Agriculture in Central Visayas (DA-7) will build another cold storage facility at the North Reclamation Area in Cebu City within the year.
Eduardo B. Lecciones Jr., DA-7 regional director, said that the P1-million facility would store excess vegetables and fruits from different towns of the province, which would not be accommodated by institutional buyers like supermarkets, bagsakan centers and the various wet markets in Cebu City.
“It will keep the farmers’ products fresh,†Lecciones said.

A Hotel-Resort signed an agreement with a university to provide training facilities and teachers to hotel and restaurant management and tourism students.
Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa and the University of San Carlos (USC) sealed their partnership last Thursday to “develop curricula, faculty and students of hotel and restaurant management (HRM), and tourism,†a press statement of the hotel said.
“If you want to produce globally competitive students, this is one easy way of doing it,†said USC president Fr. Roderick Salazar Jr., SVD.
