New company to build Cebu power plant
Saturday, October 20th, 2007Salcon Power Corp. and Kepco Philippines Corp. have formed a special purpose company that will construct and operate the 200-megawatt coal-fired power plant in Colon, Naga, Cebu.
Salcon Power, in a disclosure, said Kepco SPC Power Corp. was formed during a special meeting on Oct.17.
The consortium will build the coal facility, which will utilize circulating fluidized bed combustor boiler, a clean coal form of technology. The coal plant will serve the power requirements in the Visayas area.
