Passionata: A Repeat Performance

Passionata: A Cultural Heritage Celebration will be back on January 16, 2010 at the SM Theater 1 due to popular demand! It was watched by over 2,150 people last November 30, and the accolades haven’t stop coming!

There will be again be 3 performances:
Matinee at 2:00 to 3:45, 4:30 to 6:15 and the Gala Presentation at 8:00 p.m.
It will be a topbilled by a 10 piece orchestral band with 2 award winning choirs – Mandaue Children’s Choir and the Cebu Chamber Singers. There will be dancers also from the Mandaue City School of the Arts and the Knapsack Dancers.
It is a cultural Heritage presentation that is endorsed by CHED-7 and DepEd -7 as well as the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation cultural Heritage Program.
The concert will be 2 parts: The first part of about 12 songs will be all Filipino and Visayan Folk songs and dances.
The second part will be an international repertoire with pop and popular pieces from China, Japan, Korea, France, USA, Israel, Thailand, Indonesia, and Russia.
It will end with a grand finale of two of the greatest music. This grand finale will be a 10 piece orchestra backed up by 55 singers singing George Frederick Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Ode to Joy ( Official anthem of the European Union)

Tickets for the Matinee will be at P150, P250 and P500.
Tickets for the Gala will be at P300, P600 and P1,000.
The musical directors will be Maestro Ariel Perez and Maestro Dennis Sugarol. Music arrangements by Nendel Endrina, and Jake Gacang. Executive Producer: Wilson Ng
