This advocacy was started by avon on 2002 to share the message that – A womanâ€™s chances of survival from breast cancer increases with early detection. With mortality rates at an all time high, we become more concerned to bridge the awareness and let everyone in on the fight against this disease. Cases in the Philippines show that one Filipina dies every two hours, the highest rate in Southeast Asia. This translates to families losing a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a grandmother, a friend.

â€œWe Walk As Oneâ€ on October 4, 2008, Sunday, marks a special date for women, as more than 50,000 walkers participate in simultaneous events happening in Manila and 6 major cities nationwide. Funds raised through the sale of special edition Walk Shirts will go to the Philippine Cancer Society for the Philippine General Hospital Breast Care Center. Don Vicente Sotto Memorial Hospital is one of the selected provincial hospitals that will benefit from this yearâ€™s Walk event.

I would love to visit Cebu. Last time I visited the Philippines, we were suppose to go to Cebu but unfortunately, a typhoon swept Manila and ruined our plans. WE have Cebu marked for our next vacation plans.

Oh, this is great. The youth really has a lot to offer – and a lot to gain from tourism. With the current world economic situation, the youth especially the students can be relied upon as target market, which is really good because a well travelled person is a learned person.

I have been to tingko beach resorts 3 weeks ago, it is the most tranquil place I have been visited in Cebu, so lovely and the people are so friendly, although there are only limited cottages to stay overnight, tingko accommodation consist of two part, I considered the room we stayed as standard, with common guest bathroom and toilets, although the facilities is average it is very clean. you can hire a table for 250 pesos per day, no limit in person acquiring the facilities. you must book ahead in order to ensure bookings….. not sure with the phone numbers. Alcoy has a few tourist accommodations, but mostly exclussive for foriegn tourist,,, but not to worry anymore longer cause in the near future there will be lots of budget accommodations available. Five minutes away from Tingko beach resort; there will be cottages to be built in the near future with complete facilities,,, how do i knew,,,, luckily I myself a foriegner with pinoy herritage… and fortunate enough to inherit land in guiwang alcoy and owned a few blocks,,,, its under cosideration to be develope very soon, perhaps building will commence on mid next year,,,, so it will create employment in the town,,,, guys thank you all for supporting alcoy,,, i got lots of relative there…..
